How to Find Your Flight Number From Your Ticket

Your flight number is on your ticket, boarding pass and booking confirmation, next to the airline name and date. It is two characters for the airline followed by up to four digits, such as PK 300.

Where to look

  • E-ticket or itinerary email: look for “Flight”, “Flight no.” or the airline code with digits next to each leg.
  • Boarding pass: the flight number is near the date, gate and seat.
  • Airline app or website: open “My trips” or “Manage booking”.
  • Travel agent: ask for the flight number for each leg; a ticket number is different.

Don’t confuse it with other numbers

  • Booking reference (PNR): a six-character code to find the booking.
  • Ticket number: a 13-digit number.
  • Seat and gate: shown separately.

Codeshares

If your ticket says “operated by” another airline, the flight may have a different number with the operator. Use that number to track the flight. See codeshare.

Track it

Enter the number on the tracking page. If you have no number, read how to track a flight without a flight number.
