How FlightRadar.pk works

Most airliners broadcast their position by radio using ADS-B. Volunteers and organisations run ground receivers, and the OpenSky Network collects the signals. We show that data on a map, add free airport and weather data, and explain what it means.

We show what we can verify: where aircraft are, how high and how fast. We do not show airline schedules, gates or delay statistics, because they need data that is not available for free. Read more in our data sources and methodology.
